FROM OUR PRESIDENT
SEPTEMBER 2009
I did it!
Greetings:
It seems that I have
more things on my summer “to do” list than I have remaining summertime. It,
also, seems like this happens to e a lot more often than years ago. Some might
say it is part of getting old. I want another answer. I think it has to do
with priorities.
There are some
things more important than others. Since people are different, people
priorities are also different. Seasons and holidays make for different
priorities at different times. (Springtime is a time when fishing is a high
priority to me.)
Young people today
have many things to include in a priority list that we did not have. Some of us
cannot make any decisions or priority or non-priority things.
If you make it a
priority to be in church more Sundays than not, for the rest of the year, I know
it makes your other priority matters easier. As soon as we prioritize with
words like “every”, “always”, “never-miss” we set ourselves up to fail.
A priority of “one
more than half” for the Sundays left in 2009 can be easily achieved. I know you
will find your other “priority” items will not suffer from you being in church;
it most likely will help.
Take the priority
challenge. See you Sunday.

Council President
